DIFC Announces the 2nd Edition of The Future Sustainability Forum

Sustainable Times is proud to partner with the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) as the official media partner for the 2nd edition of the Future Sustainability Forum. Scheduled for December 4-5, 2024, at Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai, this year’s forum will centre on advancing sustainable practices, and fostering impactful discussions around sustainable development. Key themes will include environmental conservation, social equity, and innovation. As the foremost financial hub in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia (MEASA) region, DIFC is committed to driving the sustainability agenda in global finance.

The event coincides with the first anniversary of COP28 in the UAE, marking a significant milestone in the nation's ongoing commitment to transitioning towards a greener economy. Through initiatives in sustainable technology, finance, renewable energy, and waste management, this forum underscores the UAE’s dedication to environmental progress.

Expected to draw 3,000 participants, the event will bring together industry leaders, investors, tech innovators, and policymakers to drive actionable progress toward the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It aims to support the objectives of the Paris Agreement, and facilitate investment flows between the Global North and South to accelerate climate action worldwide.

Alya Al Zarouni, Chief Operating Officer of DIFC Authority and Co-Chair of the Dubai Sustainable Finance Working Group, said,

“The DIFC organised Future Sustainability Forum is a vital platform for collaborative action towards a more sustainable future. As the global economic landscape evolves, so must our commitment to responsible and inclusive growth.”

In addition to the packed conference agenda that will feature over 100 sustainability and climate action expert speakers.
