Endera, a rising force in commercial electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing, has secured $49 million in fresh funding to supercharge its production capacity and accelerate expansion in the fast-growing American electric bus sector.
Fueling Growth: Equity and Credit Backing
The funding package consists of:
$36 million in equity, led by Magnetar, with contributions from Pulse Fund and Pritchard Auto Company.
$13 million credit facility
This capital injection will enable Endera to scale manufacturing operations, diversify its zero-emission vehicle lineup, and cater to the growing demand—particularly within government fleets and speciality transportation.
Manufacturing Expansion & Job Creation
Much of the investment will be directed toward Endera’s 250,000 ft² Ohio production facility, formerly a Philips plant. This expansion is set to drive clean-energy job creation, reinforcing the company’s commitment to sustainable industrial growth.
Endera CEO and founder John Walsh said: “This investment will support our mission to revolutionise the speciality vehicle industry and accelerate the transition to clean mobility.
“At a time when America needs to prioritise domestic manufacturing and sustainability, Endera is leading by example—creating jobs, driving economic growth, and providing cost-effective solutions all while advancing American ingenuity.”
Endera isn’t just about vehicles—it’s also a transportation technology company. Its proprietary fleet management software delivers real-time performance insights, seamlessly integrating a rider app and automated service response into one unified system.
The company's powertrain claims to deliver the “longest range and fastest charge time available.”
Since acquiring the former Winnebago Metro Titan group in 2021, Endera has ramped up production twentyfold, cementing its role as a key player in electric shuttles, school buses, and charging infrastructure.
Pulse Fund founder and managing partner Tenzin Seldon said, “We see both commercial and climate value in Endera’s vertically integrated approach because it enables them to respond to customer needs with speed and precision.
“By offering a holistic solution, they’re not just filling in gaps in the commercial EV market but solving challenges at every level. We’re excited to support their next phase of growth and contribute to the broader push for nationwide electrification.”
